Constructed with standard wood materials, it showed clear signs of aging and wear that compromised both durability and safety. The lack of proper railings—and the absence of adequate railing along the stairs—created a significant safety hazard for everyday use. The railing system overall was minimal and no longer provided sufficient protection, while the narrow, worn steps further increased risk.
The original layout was limited in size and lacked intentional design, resulting in an underutilized space that did not support modern outdoor living or entertaining. Overall, the structure no longer aligned with current safety expectations or the architectural character of the home, making a full redesign and rebuild the most effective solution.

The new deck was rebuilt with durable composite materials for long-lasting performance and minimal maintenance. We expanded the footprint to create a defined entertaining space, added wide, solid steps for safer access, and installed sleek black railings that bring a clean, modern and high-end look.
